Norwegian universities to offer ‘decentralised’ education

Move comes with extra funding to offer flexible university access “where people live”

A total of 17 higher education institutions in Norway will receive 150 million Norwegian kroner (€15m) from the government to offer decentralised and flexible education in subjects considered important to the country’s economy.

These courses will include technology, digitisation and nursing. The government, which chose the winners from a group of applicants, said the money would help to undo the “centralisation” of the country’s higher and further education.
