Caesars Awards Scholarships to 22 U.S. Students

Caesars announced Thursday that it awarded 22 U.S. students up to $20,000 to “go toward a college or degree-granting program.”

Students Receive $5K
Those 22 students will each receive $5,000 per year, renewable for up to four years.
The award comes from the Don Carano Legacy Scholarship, “a tribute to Don Carano’s passion for the gaming industry and the family values shared by all Caesars Team Members.”
The scholarship is open to those that are either seniors in high school or are already enrolled in college.
“We were incredibly impressed by the applicants for our inaugural year of the Don Carano Legacy Scholarship,” Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, said in a news release. “Supporting our Team Members is our top priority, and that means supporting their families as well. We’re proud to launch this scholarship program and provide financial aid to these remarkable and diverse students.”

Students Picked From Diverse Group
To help select the recipients, Caesars Entertainment partnered with the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada, where they selected students from a “diverse pool of applicants whose parents or legal guardians represent a wide range of positions and properties across Caesars Entertainment.”
The scholarship recipients were from across the company’s footprint, which includes Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
