Scholarships in USA

JUL. 20, 2022 (DALLAS) – In preparation for the upcoming academic year, the Dallas Mavericks, in partnership with United Negro College Fund (UNCF), announced today that this year’s Mavs College Scholarship is open for applications, now through Aug. 31. With its launch last year, the scholarship fund selected five local North Texas recipients of the Mavs College Scholarship, a four-year scholarship and mentoring experience.

This year, the Mavs College Scholarship will add five new recipients, totaling ten overall, with each new student receiving a one-year scholarship. The Mavericks will select North Texas students planning to attend an accredited HBCU, or currently enrolled, full-time at any accredited HBCU, in need of financial assistance who have demonstrated resilience and a commitment to service. The commitment from the Mavericks goes beyond a one-time financial investment – Mavs College Scholarship recipients will receive on-going mentoring from Mavs staff and opportunities for Mavs summer jobs, potential internships or other work experience.
